Bag Filters

Bag Filters

Bag filters are the dust removal devices for dry removal of solid particles from polluted gas, which find their application in all areas of industrial production. ZVVZ-Enven Engineering, a.s. supplies bag filters with pulse – jet cleaning system. These filters work fully automatically, primarily in underpressure mode or eventually, in overpressure one.

EFV bag ventilation filters

They are designed to separate dust particles from the gas flow during silo ventilation and while local exhausting small gas quantities up to 6,000 m3/h and at temperature up to 140 °C.

Installation and replacement of filtering bags is performed from the service side of the filter through the side door, which is also used to check the same. EFV bag filters are delivered to the construction site fully assembled, including a control unit in several optional designs.

Filter design

  • Filter without a hopper, which is installed directly to the lid of a silo or to the cover of a conveyer.
  • Filter with a hopper, with a hopper closure and with a supporting steel structure.
  • Filter with integrated fan on the clean gas chamber.
  • Filter with outlet flange for the connection of the exhaust piping.
  • Overpressure filter with gas outlet straight into the surrounding environment.

EFR cartridge filters

Cartridge filters use specially shaped filtration elements for dust filtration which at the given diameter and length have much larger filtration surface than the filtering bags. They are used mainly for local exhaust of small gas quantities during de-dusting of routes, bins, and small technological equipment. They are mainly installed for separation of very fine dusts with low abrasiveness in confined spaces in case of low emission limits requirement.

Main characteristics

  • Large filtration surface at minimal demands on the built-up area.
  • Low fly dust concentration levels (up to 1 mg/m3).
  • Temperature of exhausted gas and dust at maximum of 80 °CEasy replacement of filtration elements (cartridges).
  • Possibility to select various filtration materials

EFP bag filters The EFP bag filters are applied in a wide range of industrial applications from small sizes for local exhaust of e.g. transport routes and bins, and up to large-scale installations for de-dusting of large technological dust sources such as furnaces in building materials industry, boilers in power engineering, blast furnaces in metallurgic industry, and more.

EFP bag filters on-line

The EFP bag filters in the on-line design are used mainly for filtration of easier separable dusts in cement works, lime kilns or in quarries as well as other industries.

The cleaning process of bags takes place under continuous operation of the filter – on line. Fully automatic control system ensures a gradual cleaning of individual rows of bags, depending on loss in pressure of a filter or under a firm time mode.

The design and size of on-line filters are designed individually, depending on the gas and dust characteristics and the area available.

Design

  • Gas side inlet into the hopper
  • Gas upper inlet into the hopper
  • Side inlet of gas into the filter casing
  • Without the hopper (particularly for ventilation of silos)
  • Multi-module with integrated inlet and outlet channel

Basic characteristics

  • Gas volume flow max. 500,000 m3/h.
  • Working temperature max. 260 °C.
  • Underpressure, overpressure max. 10 kPa.
  • Diameter of filtration bags 117 mm, 152 mm.
  • Length of filtration bags 2.5 up to 6 m.
  • Design of filter casing all-welded.

EFP off-line bag filters

Bag off-line filters are used mainly for the filtration of large volumes of gases, very light and fine dusts and everywhere where highly demanding production technology requires long-term and uninterrupted operation. These filters are used mainly for dust removal technologies in energetics, metallurgy, incinerators, etc.

They are designed as a system of modules mutually interconnected by inlet and outlet ducts. Each module forms an independent filtration unit and is fitted with pneumatically controlled disc valve at the outlet and manually controlled valve at the inlet. Closing the outlet disc valve (off-line system) does bag cleaning of the module at the short-term shut-down. The filter regeneration is controlled on the basis of total loss in pressure of the filter and the loss of individual modules by a superior level control system that controls gradual shut-down and cleaning of individual modules.

Possible revision or repairs do not require the complete shut-down of the complete filter. Individual modules of the filter can be closed from the both sides, excluded from the filtration process and made accessible for any repair.

For the case of breakdown, transient conditions or when the maximum inlet temperatures are exceeded it is possible to provide the filter with an integrated by-pass duct used for protection of the filtering bags.

Basic characteristics

  • Gas volume flow more than 1,000,000 m3/hour
  • Working temperature max 260 °C
  • Underpressure, overpressure max 15 kPa
  • Diameter of bags 152 mm
  • Nominal length of bags 3 up to 6.5 m
  • Design of filter casing all-welded modules

EFP – Ex on-line bag filters

Supplies the bag filters for separation of dusts that produce explosive mixture with air.

The filters are mainly intended for separation of dusts originating from fossil fuels (coal, peat), bio-mass (all plant types), organic substances (crops, sugar), oil derivatives (plastic materials), metals (nonferrous materials), chemical substances (resin), and other substances (dyes, glass).

The filters are designed in reinforced design and fitted with the filter bags with anti-static surface treatment. The square or rectangular filters are fitted with explosion mitigation or elimination device (explosion membranes, explosion valves, or HRD systems), and the filters with hoppers have rotary feeders as well.

The filters are delivered according to European directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 100) and all protective components are certified according to this directive. The internal components of the filter are designed for operation in zone 20 environment, and the external components of the filter are designed for operation in zone 22 environment according to European directive 1999/92/EC (ATEX 137). The relief surface of the filters fitted for the explosion mitigation is defined according to ČSN EN 14491. The filters are supplied in the versions mentioned above depending on their use.

Version

  • Square or rectangular filters with hopper
  • Square or rectangular filters without hoppers
  • Round filters without hopper and high pressure resistance (1 MPa)
